Because turnabout is always fair play...

Even if I do not always play fair. It seemed an appropriate way with which to begin the new year.

The Master!

Date: 2010-01-09 08:24 pm (UTC)Reinette has come to the opinion that it is with the Master she can most be herself. Yes, she must be wary, and yes she must constantly be on guard. But these things are such an inherent part of her nature now it does not feel unnatural.
She can say what she is thinking, uncensored. She values his opinion and wishes to sit highly within it. Through their conversations she has slowing collected some of his weaknesses but has never chosen to capitalize on them. To do so would upset their camaraderie and so she does not. It is there, should she need it. But for now she values his company more.
That does not stop her from finding pleasure in challenging him, and being challenged by him in return. She anticipates their interactions with great pleasure. She also finds him extremely attractive. This was not an initial thing, but something far more cerebral that has grown to encompass the whole person.
And yes, at this point? She is far closer to him than she is with the Doctor. The Doctor knew the girl, because even on the night of the Yew Tree ball as she made a play for a king? She was still a girl. The Master? Knows the woman.
She does not trust him. She never will. But oh, she likes him a great deal.
